Opportunity Through Community Pathways
Our interns are given the opportunity to learn all aspects of the organization, including the food shelf and clothesline through The Marketplace and Unique Finds, and our mobile foodshelf with Marketplace Delivery. Our organization provides students with a well-rounded internship experience that could fit the needs of many different acedemic pursuits.
Social Service focused programs can benefit from client interactions through registration interviews, program development and administration through community needs assesments, and community outreach through our community partnerships and programs. Other interns may benefit more from the logistics management of taking in food, clothing, and household goods for our members. Detailed records of all incoming and outgoing supplies are kept and shared for purposes of funding and program management.
Our interns will have opportunities to lead group discussions, take part in team meetings, and work directly with clients, volunteers, and staff members.
