Get Involved
Volunteers are the backbone of our operations. Without their dedication to our organization and generous help, we could not provide the services we offer today. Several opportunities are available within Community Pathways of Steele County, Inc. Our volunteer opportunities are for 3-3.5 hour shifts. You can work one day a month, two days every other week, or one day a week. The amount of time is up to you.
We believe our volunteers have a rewarding experience that brings care and compassion to others and themselves.

Front Desk Volunteer Opportunities

Front Desk Position

Greet people as they come in

Assist members and customers with store questions

Check customers out on the computer

Check cash sales out on the tablet

Answer the phone and direct calls as needed

Organize the store ( make sure things are off the floor and keep the store neat and in order

Color code the racks per instructions

Take hangers to the backroom

Help with projects when we are slow or have down time.

Marketplace Customer Service/Stocking

This position will need to stay at the front desk area

Greet all visitors

Check to insure their registration is up to date and that it is their week to shop

If they need to register for services, direct the client to a staff member

Assist visitors as appropriate

Check in donations and provide a receipt if requested

Assist with answering the phone

This position allows for some time to sit during downtimes. Other projects may be available to work on at the front desk.

This position is responsible for greeting and accepting the appropriate donations as designated by the Unique Finds Coordinator.

Sort through clothing and household items to ensure they are free from damage.
